dedicated hosting search
RDNS is good or bad?

I have a dedicated server and when I do "nslookup mydomain" does not spit back my domain name. I could easily set the hosting company. However, not sure if it is beneficial to all. Pros -> Maybe the search engines find it more legitimate. Against -> It may be that helps you find pirates. Reverse DNS is what I meant. I have for the DNS server and domain. SSL can be a sufficient incentive to set up.

DNS not good or bad – will need to use anyway if you want to reach your server name. Unless you yourself are a hosting company or use very volatile / system name main reasons, there is very little to run DNS on the same machine where you host your site (s) – if your server is down, the field will be with her. Ask your hosting company or can register a domain, if possible – will have less headache for yourself. If the server can not do "nslookup mydomain valid in the field, it simply means that your DNS client is misconfigured. I do not understand the part about hackers and search engines. Both will find you wherever you host your domain. If you ask about reverse DNS – ie remove eye hostname IP address – again – will not give out many advantages, and will create problems arise using SSL. Good luck.
